Default Having hardwood floors and a swimming pool????

Hi Everyone!
I am redoing our kitchen and we would really love to have hardwood floors. We are now reconsidering due to the fact we have a swimming pool. Should we?? Or is having the hardwood floors ok with the pool?? We live near Toronto and so we only use our pool 4-5 months a year. What does everyone think?? We are thinking we'd have to use a tile/stone instead??...We are staying in this house forever...( never say never??) but we really don't have plans to ever move... No dog but we have a 7 year old and two teens. Ideas and thoughts please!
Lynn

Is your pool indoors?

We have a pool and our entire house is hardwood flooring. We have never had an issue at all. We also have 6 children and 3 dogs!

I don't understand the relationship between your kitchen floor and your pool. Can you explain?

The house we just bought has hardwood and a pool. The hardwood is in good condition even at the back door when you come in from the pool. We haven't had any issues since we've lived here and we have four kids and one dog.
