We just had our attic blown. We checked at Lowes. They will let you use the blower for 1 day if you buy the insulation from them. We needed 1500 sq feet at 12 inches deep. The house was built in 1900 and had never been insulated. This would have cost about 700 bucks.

We had a company come and do it for 630. I didn't have to get in the hot attic and saved a little money. I would deff. check into it first then call several contractors and give them your sq footage. They will be able quote you if they know sq footage and how deep you want it!

Go up before they leave and measure the depth. The people who did ours skimped in the corners and around the chimneys. I had to get them to go back up and blow more in those areas.

They did the Owens Corning fiberglass.

Whoa.....don't address a symptom let's look for the cause.

Describe your HVAC unit. What changed about the new and old unit?

We can address the insulation after the main problem is solved.
