Default Stains in Toilet Bowl? Help!

Hi!

We bought a foreclosed home that is in excellent shape. However the toilet bowls and the master shower are pretty bad.

The toilet bowl downstairs is the worst! I tried bleach on it and it didn't do much. The master shower is really dark on the bottom, and I've been scrubbing to no avail. I even let Tilex sit on it for a long time.

Does anyone have any tips on what could work?

Try pouring in a lot of white vinegar in the toilet and let it sit overnight...will really help whiten. What material is the shower floor?

try CLR, it might help. I 've seen it do miracles.

you might try a pumice stone ( not on fibergalss tho') those work good on porcelain items.

not right sure what else you might try

turn the water off at the toliet, and flush it til the bowl gets empty, then work on cleaning it. The cleaner gets diluted when you use it with a full bowl...imo.
just a brainstorming for you Good luck!

The shower stall is just regular plastic or something....it's a standard master bath stall from the builder.

Not much chlorine in bleach. Did you try toilet bowl cleaner? The Works is good.

When all else fails give Magic Eraser a try.
I tried just for the hell of it after all the usual things still left a stain and bingo!

Yep, that is the only method I have found for toilet stains.

Yes, works great, especially down in the part that the brush can't reach.

POLIDENT TABLETS. Drop in four or five and let them sit a day. Swish around the water every so often to make sure the tablets get distributed. Should take most stains out of a porcelain toilet.

You might laugh... but on the tub... try a Magic Eraser... I swear it cleans the soap scum off the shower walls better than anything I can find...
