I never heard of such a thing, and if this is some new fangled size, like California King, don't get it because you are never going to find sheets or blankets, etc. for it.
gentlearts you're saying it's hard to find sheets n such for a california king bed? i had one for about 3 years and they sell them at target and bed bath and beyond..
Just trawled through all the decent furniture places I could think of, there is NOTHING out there.
OP, here is my suggestion, because you are gonna make yourself crazy hunting for something that isnt there........
I would have an upholstered headboard made, they are not expensive, I made my own.
Then go pick out something you like in the way of bedroom furniture, you wont have to match woods etc.....
I just emailed my go-to furniture guy that knows even more than me, asked him about your query, will post what he has to say as soon as I hear from him.

Overstock.com has the best deals I've seen on California King linens (outside of the TV shopping networks that usually sell them for the same price as twins). But I just checked and even Overstock doesn't have any Grand King linens.
As for the furniture, how about a hotel furniture resale warehouse?
