quartz countertops
still on my countertop kick....
are there differences between the major brands of quartz countertop manufacturers?
Cambria, Silestone, Zodiaq, Caesarstone
or does it just come down to who gives you the best price for the color you want?
thanks!

I can't imagine that the various brands have that much difference between them. Perhaps you can check consumer reports and see if they have some info. When we re-did our kitchen, we just looked at the samples and picked the color, not the name brand.

Maybe they use different resins to make their plastic conglomerate.

thanks you two for the replies! i'll check into consumer reports and see what they say and look for other reviews online. just from looking at their websites, it appears as though cambria looks more like real stone whereas zodiaq looks more like plastic stone - but it could just be the photos.

Fisher,
Caesarstone, offers a lifetime warranty to the original buyer. Their warranty is backed by the "Good Housekeeping Seal". I don't know if that makes a difference to you.

SileStone is the best of the bunch. More choices and it has Microban in the countertop.

I have Cambria Quartz countertops in my kitchen and love them. Looks just like granite (I thought it WAS granite initially). Better still is the fact that quartz doesn't need to be sealed yearly like granite and there has been talk that granite contains radon. My counters are 2 years old and look/feel brand new.

Wow, three cases for three of the 4! haha. I guess it is competitive in the world of quartz.
The lifetime warranty is great, microban is good, and I have noticed the Cambria look better online... thanks everyone for the suggestions!
I guess when it comes time to choose, we'll have to evaluate who's offering what.

Here's another vote for Silestone. I didn't check into the other brands, but we've been extremely happy with our Silestone after almost two years.
