For those of you who don't remember: we were getting a rotten egg smell in our family room everynight at the same time. After 5 plumbers, we finally had a peppermint test done today and they found a floor joint in the HVAC room that was not capped and therefore not holding any water. They capped it and believe this is the issue-they will follow up next week to make sure. I am THRILLED! I asked why the other plumbers didn't catch it and they said it would have been impossible to find it if not for the peppermint test. Now, if they come back next week and if the problem didn't correct, they will have to jack hammer into the basement floor, which will be very costly, so lets just pray this is it. (sounds like it should be the reason)
anyway, thanks to all those who had helped...many of you said there was probably a cap missing somewhere!
