The home we are buying comes with a refrigerator [Frigidaire pro 26 cubic feet] but one of the crisper pans is cracked --- never seen that but our current fridge does not match and is 12 years old anyway - so I looked at the price of a replacement pan [$150] and thought - is there a good way to repair it? it has a chunck out of the back corner.

Maybe call around to some used appliance or repair shops, they might have an odd one around that would fit.

What is it made out of 'gold'?

If you got a replacement pkg with your home when you bought it, they will replace it.

You might check on ebay.. I have found you can get parts there often times for much less than in stores

Well the refrigerator was thrown in along with some other things during negotiation.

Well I have been thinking about your crisper issue today
You could alway use Duct tape

How about some of that plastic epoxy repair stuff from Home Depot/Lowes?? Seems like you could cut a 'patch' out of like a butter lid, and then use the epoxy to stick it over the hole and fill in any cracks with the epoxy too.

I think too much

If it is just cracked, epoxy or super glue will work.
If there is a chunk missing and you have the chunk = same repair.
If a chunk is missing and you don't have it - then duct tape, old yogurt containers, saran wrap, etc.

Or take a trip up Broadway and check out the used appliance places.

I was going to suggest duct tape as well. One of human engineering's little miracles.
