I am trying to find info on buying 1st house on dissability income with fair credit. Anyone with info please answer.

I googled 'buying a house on disability' and the first result was the HUD website. People with Disabilities - HUD. Hope this helps.

You need to calculate how much you can afford. You are qualified on how much of a loan based on your income.

You mortgage payment has to be 43% less then your month income (also taken into account other month debts showing on your credit report).

There is (was) a program for this. The thing is, if they have funds. Check with your local housing commission. It could be called something different in your area. Your county should know were to guide you. They are HUD funds.

But, it does not have to be one of these houses.
