I have no complaints with Cardell you guys. I used the upgraded Cardell on a rather large new home being built by a very famous musician back in 1999. I have heard she tore my kitchen out and had it redone and custom built from scratch from Cocobolo wood imported from Brazil I think it was. Anyway she got into some serious trouble with customs because of it.

Desertsun41, don't you just love stories like that. Another factor in my decision to bring on Cardell is that it is not saturated in my area from other dealers/showrooms. So many here seem to sell the same lines from Masterbrand, Mastercraft, etc. What kind of problems did she run into doing custom?

Importing Brazilian wood, lotsa red tape I can imagine.

Mastercraft? We don't have that brand where I am.

Mastercraft is part of the Elkay line of cabinetry. Elkay also owns Medallion, Schuler and Yorktowne. Medallion and Yorktowne are the lines that are the most common in my area. I believe that Schuler is Lowe's only.

Yes it is true for mail order, NOT if you drive over state lines and walk into a showroom to buy.

So if the store will work with you, drive there to prepare your order, go home and place that order by phone using your VISA, when your product comes in you can go pick it up with your vehicle or have them deliver it.

Try Schmidt Cabinet, New Salisbury, IN or Barber Cabinet, Springfield, KY. All wood cabinets, dove-tail dwr components. I sold hardwood dimension to them for years. Both make beautiful cabinetry.

You sold hardwood dimension to them for years. Can you explain that to us?

I think it means he sold hardwood dimensional lumber (like S4S) to those companies to make cabinets out of. He was probably a mill sales rep or something like that. At least that's how I interpreted his post.
