It is nice we love it.
My wife's dream house...I just made sure that when we built it the structure was bullet-proof, the lot big, a place for my McIntosh AV equipment, a media room, home office, and a workshop. The builder hated me...I am sure of it. I used the internet and every reference to question everything they were doing. He asked if I was in the custom home building business too...

1. No HOA (or community deed restrictions)
2. Sufficient closet/storage space
3. Separate outbuilding for DH's shop

and, just as important, a quiet street without through traffic.

It is beautiful on the inside. However we have not been able to get it painted, or get landscaping done.

We live there for now.It ended up costing us so much that we may wind up losing it. It was $1 to buy the house. However we had to buy land to put it on, lift and move the house, build a basement, restor the house and add a kitchen. When all was said and done, it was a whole lot of $1. Hundreds of thousands of them.

For THIS home it was no more three stories! So this time around.

No HOA's (a few deed restrictions are ok)
A basement for hubby's hobbies
One nice big, spacious floor with tons of space.
A family room, and hopefully a fireplace ( yes, we found that too)
An area for a Pool
Not in a crowded community, but in a more spread out area.
Windows everywhere looking out to the great outdoors.
