Default What indoor temp. is comfortable?

I can't take indoor heat at more than about 63-65 daytime - nights I turn it just about off (turn thermostat down to as low as it goes) - so that is probably maybe 50's. In the summer, A/C gets to about 70 or so (I think..seems like summer was so long ago).

I read about people thinking they are conserving by keeping heat at 72 or so daytime...I can't imagine living in that heat.

What temp. do you all set your thermostats to?

Winter: 67 during the time we are home, 61 at all other times.
Summer: Might turn on a window AC unit if the bedrooms get hot, but don't really worry to much about Summer temps.

I try to keep it 66 in the winter but many complain so I will raise it to 69 during the day sometimes... drop to 64 at night. My old mother keeps her house at 75 and I can't stand it so hot.

Interesting reading. I do believe that it is healthier to keep a house cooler (especially at night).

65 24/7 in the winter. That's about November 1 through April 15. Thereafter heat as needed until A/C season. 78 when running A/C. That's when it's over 80 to 85. Rest of the time we just open the windows and let the outdoors inside.

It depends on whether or not your working, or sitting on your butt all day...! We turn the heat off completely at night, set it at 63-65 daytime if working, 68 if watching TV. Activity makes a big difference.
Summer time, usually in the low 80's inside, 105 or so outside... Rarely use the A/C unless it's over 105 outside...
