Default Termite contracts...how much do YOU pay?

Trying to decide if I need to look around for a new company. Mine keeps going up and I think they are too high as it is!

If you have a yearly contract with a termite control company, how much do you pay?

We use Terminex. They do a termite check annually and come around quarterly to spray. Unless we have a problem, I only let them spray outside around the house, in the basement and in the garage. They will come in between regularly scheduled visits for free if we discover any problems (we used to have an issue with bees at our old house).

They used to charge around $120 per quarter. When I called to cancel service (last year), they dropped it to $80.

When we bought our 10 yr old house last year, the termite inspector found a pile of debris the builder left (10 yrs ago) under the front porch and it had termites. The seller paid $750 to treat the house and got a one year guarantee. As the buyer we pay $110/yr to continue the guarantee. My neighbor pays $120/yr for termite prevention.

I pay $85.00/yr. They tried to raise it this year and I told them if they wanted to keep me as a customer, they should rethink their increase. They did. I find the norm around here is about 110-120/yr.

I have my contract comming up. I live in Spring Hill, Fl and they want $1100 for Termidor for a five year
contract. Quarterly visits and yearly inspections. Is this a reasonable price?
