We installed a Scalewatcher selectronic conditioner three years ago and we have no complaints: we have no more scale around faucets and shower heads, the nasty brown scale deposits in toilet bowls are gone and never came back. We have recommended it to all our friends and family. We got a great price online at Scalewatcher hard water softener It’s one of the best investments we ever made for our house, and it keeps saving us money because it keeps our water heater scale free saving energy, and we don’t need to buy any more heavy bags of salt.

I had a lancaster water softener installed a few months back in my new home. Yes, I had very hard water. Wow - what a difference in everything. I paid about $1200 to have it installed -- IMO it has been worth every penny. No more rust stains from our well water and everything just stays cleaner from the shower, sinks, and toilets. Well worth the dollars and I am glad I did it.

I have hard water in my house as well. Can't get any lathering in my dish water and sometimes have orange colored water (most likely rust) come through the tub spout when I first turn it on. When the old PVC pipes were changed out I noticed the orange coloration on the inside of them. I may need to look into a softener too.
