Is this a problem?
While mowing the lawn, I hit this white plastic pipe and the top was cut off. A. How do I fix it?
B. It it a huge deal that needs to be taken care of ASAP?
I attached a picture.
I am a bit clueless when it comes to this stuff. I have lived in an apartment from age 5 until November, so I have no idea what I am doing sometimes!

I think that it's either your wellhead or your septic/sewer clean out. Yeah, you need to get a replacement cap. If it's your well and it rains the runoff could pollute your well. If it's your septic runoff will overload the system. If it's a municipal sewer it will go into the sanitary lines.

Maybe this will work.
I don't have a well. So, it is the sewage line?

Yep. Looks like you broke off the grab bolt though so you may have to play with it a bit. If it's a municipal sewer system just call them, they should be able to fix you up. It's to their advantage to cap off the cleanouts, keeps inflow out of the system. You would probably have to call them anyway to get a replacement cap.

It's a standard 3 or 4 inch clean-out cap.
It will unscrew when turned counter-clockwise.
A replacement is readily and cheaply available at your local home store.
Replace as soon as practical.

In a pinch you can even put a rubber cap secured be a hose clamp.
All the hardware stores have them... just move a little of the soil around the pipe and measure the diameter...

I've mowed the top off mine more than once when I wasn't careful. Very simple and inexpensive to replace, and the replacement is readily available at Lowes or Home Depot.

I mowed over a cleanout this weekend. This happens all the time. It isn't the end of the world and it is a very inexpensive repair/replace. You probably want to address this sooner rather than later (there may or may not be a trap between the sewer and the cleanout to stop bad gasses) but your house isn't going to explode.
Unscrew the cap and take it with you to the big box store for a positive match. It may be a touch stubborn coming out of there...
