just moved into a new house. Can't find the brochure on the garage door but the remote will open, but not close the door. It is a Chamberlain opener. Anyone experienced this issue and found a resolution?

Does it try to close? Maybe something is in the way of the sensor that is telling it not to close. Mine had this problem and I just cleaned the sensor and it worked, maybe dust or somthing is in the way??

Just an FYI - if your remote will open but not close the door, usually, like settlepa said, its a problem with the sensors. Its actually a safety feature so that you cannot close the door when you can't see that the path is clear and there is not safety system functioning. YOu can override the safety systems by holding the wired button down (the assumption is that you can see that there are no children or pets under the door).

I have the same problem
where are the sensors located? Along the bottom strip of the garage door?

Generally they are "electric eyes" mounted 4 inches off th floor on either side of the door. If they two eyes can't see each other, the door won't close (or will reverse if someone runs through it)
