Default back door screen door??

hi! i want to add a screen door to my back door of my home. The back door exits the dining room onto a cement patio. The size is 32x82 or so. Anyhow, what styles would best fit? The door cannot be seen from any street. I am thinking the vinyl door with the bar 1/2 way up and then vetical bars below that one, white. The outside of my home is a light green. Very woodsy but nice...

thanks..

I have a retractable screen door on my back patio. It virtually disappears when you aren't using it, which is nice for the winter months when you don't need it. The door is essentially invisible, so much so that my 70lb dog tried running through it last spring (strong enough that it stopped her). I bought it at Lowes for a little over $100 and installed it myself in about an hour. Highly recommend it.

We had a retractible that was great, but if you have pets they can sneak right out the bottom - our cats always did so we ditched that - now we have an awesome Larson full view storm door - you can put in the screen or the clear glass - no bar or anything to obstruct the view - just solid screen - love it! Personally I do not like the doors that have bars across them to obstruct the view - i just want soild screen or solid glass.

I just went through the adventure of having a 32 inch wood frame screen door attached to a roughly 31 and a half door frame. Don't ask... 1930 house with a lousey remodel. Eventually a new door with a real solid frame will make the problem go away.

But when I was living in my apartment my cat managed to rip a large hole in the screen which meant we couldn't leave the door open. I added a half high layer inside of a sticky wire called "pet guard". She still tried to climb it but had to delicately pull her paws out and will never reach mid door.

If you have pets I suggest you make sure what every kind of door you get has a good solid pet screen and latches tightly. I lost one dog I dearly dearly loved when the door got pushed open on a hot night.
