Default Washer Dryer room floor

We recently purchased this house, redid most of the floors. Major living area is laminate. There is a small washer dryer room that also has a sink and is the conduit to the garage. The floor there was one piece vinyl. Initially the rest of the flooring was so beaten up that the vinyl looked good. Now, esp after a lot of traffic during the repairs, the vinyl looks pretty beaten up. It seems like since there is risk of water leak and humidity, laminate is out. We are fine with vinyl. The problem is that there is a lot of small corners and twists and even the original vinyl wasn't cut properly and you can see exposed floor under.
So is it acceptable to to Vinyl tiles and not one piece? That would make it easier and might be even able to do it myself and save $$.
Also, are the self adhesive stuff strong enough or is it going to peel in a few months?
Any suggestions are welcome.

We actually put those adhesive vinyl tiles in our laundry room and they worked out great. Everyone thought it was real tile, too. They were super easy to put it and changed the room dramatically. Good luck
