I just had to Google that and they really do make Twister sheets!

I always had carpeting in the past, but our new house has tile in the entryway, kitchen, breakfast area, bathrooms and hallway. I really like it, but I still like having carpeting in the bedrooms. Something about hard flooring in the bedrooms is just not cozy to me, even with throw rugs.

I guess another thing I like about carpeting is the warm and homey feeling it gives. I'm not talking cheap, thin carpeting but rich expensive carpeting with a thick padding. Hardwood is nice in certain areas, but to me it has a somewhat sterile and has a cold feeling.

Like I said, a mixture is best but I like carpeting in rooms you want to relax in.

Anyone who has removed muh carpeting from houses will be disgusted enough to never have it in their own home. It was a bad iddea. Attach a pice of heavy cloth tothe floor that cannot reall be cleaned, is very difficult to replce, cannot be fully dried and has no way to clean underneath it. Then walk on it spill on it put animals on it - yuck.

arpeting is one of the worst ideas for houses that they ever had. Force air heat is another.

Not sure what you guys with carpeting are doing that makes it so dirty, but anyway.....

We have all hardwoods and some ceramic, but carpet in the family room. Nothing is better than sprawling out on the floor in front of a nice fire on a cold winter day. I also wouldn't be opposed to a home with carpet in the bedrooms, we just happen to already have wood with area rugs.

I'm with you! I like my wall-to-wall carpet on top of the hardwood floor and so do my bare feet on a cold morning. It also cuts down on the noise when people walk around.

Wouldn't that be also be better for resale?
Yep. We only have carpet in the bdrms. Eventually you just can't get the dirt out, but with wood you can see the clean, as well as their beauty!

I hate carpet! My house is tile in most areas, except the bedrooms! At first, I thought would hate the tile, but now, I'm so glad I have tile and not wood floors! One day, I will replace the tile with wood, but for now, I'm happy with my floors!

Everyone has their own taste and for resale rule of thumb is you are to market to the masses.

But for me- I hate carpet. I ripped it all up. I have stone and wood. If I want something warm and cozy on a floor- I'll put a blanket! (socks)

I do. If it were up to me, the room I am in now would not have carpet.
