Just hoping a plumber or someone would know, does CSST (corrugated stainless steel tubing) NEED to be grounded/bonded or is it just safe practice? Ive been reading it should be grounded with 6AWG but nothing that says mandatory, or mandatory in NJ.

As Bergenite pointed out you will need to discuss requirements with the local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Bergenite has listed the phone number.

The AGA contributes significantly to the codes dealing with gas piping and here is a good, and short, discussion of your question.

Good luck!
