Would not bother me it is their property not mind. It is in the back and not the front so no problem in my book.

My choice wasn't a poll option.

No, people are free to use their property however they want within community codes, rules, and laws. Otherwise I'd report them

This is in their back yard, in a rural area so no HOA, and it would be my business why?

Also, based on the looks of the mattress-type items in the photo, they haven't been there very long at all. This could possibly be mid-clean-out.

Yeap, I thought the same when I saw the mattresses.

I think that the pictures depict a "stage 1 bonfire". Ignition source is all that's missing and I suspect that there will be additional fuel.

yes, it's an eyesore but I wouldn't complain yet.

Jimb is right....again. This is the normal and usual way people in rural areas without city/municipal garbage pick up get rid of trash. This is indeed a pile waiting to be burned.

The intent of the OP was to promote communist HOAs but so far has failed since all the following posts so far has no problem with the freedom to own occupy and enjoy the fruits of their land. And to add to that: THE RIGHT EXPECT A REASONABLE DEGREE OF PRIVACY WITHOUT NOSY NEIGHBORS PEEKING OVER FENCES AND AROUND BUILDINGS TO TAKE PICTURES.

Most people would kill for beautiful property like this out in the country. No zoning laws, no communist HOAs, no govt clowns telling us what we can and can't do with OUR land, and usually no nosy neighbors.....just peace and quite and lots of wonderful wildlife.......the kind with 4 legs, not 2. The only noise is from Cattle or Horses and some nights Donkeys would start honking when if they sense their mortal enemies being Wolves nearby. Most nights you can enjoy the stars in the night sky without the intruding lights of the big city to dilute the view. I yearn for this life again. I miss it. Pizz on rules.

Txder, ain't you a little bit too young to be complaining about things like this? Is your Mom complaining too? Does she feel the same way? No disrespect man but worrying about what others put in their back yard full of acreage now could turn you into a complainy old man in your old age.

That is what it looks like to me. However the mattresses and what appears to be PVC will emit toxic fumes when burned. I know many rural poor who burn plastics and foams never giving it a second thought.

Perhaps if the OP is the neighbor he could offer to help his neigbor haul off the toxic materials to an appropriate landfill.

I have neighbors who do much worse on their land. Those are the chances one takes when living outside of HOAs and zoning. If it is a constant eyesore just plant a living evergreen wall to block your view.

I presume you meant to say 'would you like TO SEE this in your neighbor's yard?'

Isn't one of the whole points of living in a rural setting that you can don't have to worry about your neighbor's prying eyes--and therefore you can do pretty much whatever you want?

I would guess too this was a spring cleaning. They might have gotten some bedbugs and needed to get the mattresses out of the house ASAP.

Live and let live.
