I'm going to try it out next month. Apparently it's pretty fast in houston. You are talking about Clearwire right? Here's a video of someone performing a speed test.

Clear is a reseller of ATT & Sprint cell phone internet no badwith caps now wait 1 yr when alot more people are using clear then there will be a 30gb 50gb or 100gb cap. How can they offer unlimited internet when these cell phones companies have a bandwith cap of 5gb for cell phone users.

Damn 9.5mbps down & 3.5up no internet service for home gives that upload speed but I can kinda see why you get that upload speed cell phones do not use any upload

I've got it; I'm up in the Woodlands area on the edge of the "good" reception. In main Houston you'll get the 12mbps speeds, up where I'm at I get the 6mbps max.

It's pretty good, no real complaints. Well, the Magic Jack is pretty lousy on Clear here; it cuts out a lot.

I know this isn't home internet, but I have a friend who has CLEAR mobile. We were in the 19th floor in downtown and the signal strength was great.

Clear service seems to be deteriorating rapidly. Used to be quite acceptable, now it borders on inconvenient.

Yeap true that. I have the family pack for my parents and I have the second modem as my backup internet in my house. When they first deployed several months ago I used to get 4-6 megs down and pretty good signal strength, 80% strength.

Now is has been 2 months since my Clear modem is not working and I wish I could cancel it but my parents modem works better and they need it. Clear is yet to fix mine.

Clear seems to vary according to geographical location- when I use a dongle in downtown/midtown it's great. If I move a few miles away from the centre it starts to fail.

This isn't my subscription- the main problem I see with Clear is that to get a competitive rate you have to subscribe to a lengthy commitment.

I ended up cancelling my service with clear after several months. At first it was great (4-6 Mbps/down), then it was painfully slow at times, even when trying to read email. It drove me nuts, so bad that I had to crawl back to comcast.

Luckily they still had a promo for 29.99 mo for 12 months.
