Good point. Exxon headquarters does the strategic planning and has to be able to recruit the best talent and keep them happy. They chose DFW for that need.

I'd be very surprised if they "gave" the bldg to the city.

Could this be another casualty of Parker's downsizing of IAH ? Afterall it's well known that one of the primary reasons XOM didn't relocate headquarters to Houston instead of DFW in the 80s when they left Jersey was because DFW was such a superior airport. However, now just when IAH is starting to achieve parity with DFW, Parker has dealt a body-blow to the future prominence of IAH with her decision to open up Hobby for international service.

There are a lot of contruction cranes, I would estimate there are at least 5 and a lot more clearing, less trees around that area now. So, I guess they are on-schedule.

Talk about overhyping the importance of an airport.
How do you explain that Houston has the 2nd highest number of Fortune 500 companies after New York?
And Los Angeles has only 1 more than San Antonio.

It only covers public companies and makes no sense whatsoever.
