My friend got into that Ambit sales thing. He tried to get me in on it too, but it sounded like a pyramid scheme.

I'd stick with Reliant or TXU. I hear Green Mountain is also good.

What customer service do you need? If your power goes out, you call Centerpoint. To pay the bill, just do it online.

Brilliant Energy is 10.0kwh 12 months and that includes tdsp. No one can beat that.

Kinetic Energy is da bomb! I used to have Green Mountain but their rates are not competative. I switched to Kinetic because their rates were super low, they are HUGE Houston community supporters (sponsoring cool events and stuff) and they have awesome social media marketing. Right now they have a promo where you can get 100% green energy for the same rate as the cheapest non-green plan. That just rocks.

The pricing from kinetic energy is NOT competitive at all. If you check the user prce label carefully,
Different pricing for different usage
Base price charge

From my past experience, I would recommend Spark Energy,
although I had a small issue with them because of the mis-communication.

10.0kWh, um are you getting power from god? That's really expensive.

Thats the cheapest in the market right now. If you go variable, its 8.7kwh but that will change dramatically. Don't forget, this already includes TDSP.
