Has anyone heard of Plantation Homes (Howe: appointed, custom home, neighborhood)

We were looking at a few houses, and really like the Plantation GENTRY III plan that we saw in Berkshire Sub-division. I've never heard of them before, but are they any good? How's the quality of the house?

I haven't heard too much about them and would like to know from a previous or current lennar home owner to see if i should stay away from them.

The builders im currently interested in are David Weekly, Trendmaker, David Powers... and I've heard bad things about Meritage and Pulte. But I would like to find more about Plantation Homes. How does the quality of the house hold up? I mean if the house would be full of problems after i buy it, then there's really no point, cause i would have to shell out a lot of time/money/frustration to fix them all, right?

However I am open to suggestions.

all the builders you mentioned are fine. We had friends who had a Plantation home and I don't recall any issues. David Weekly would be my favorite out of the bunch. They also do custom homes in current my neighborhood and they are pretty. FWIW, we owned a Pulte home for 4 years with no problems.

I have lived in a Plantation home since May 06.

DO NOT RECOMMEND IT, but that's just my personal experience.

Very disappointed with the quality of our home.
