Roosters is on Cinco Ranch Blvd. Maybe not an old timey Barber shop, but if you call ahead they have one who works there. Get in with him for a straight edge shave and haircut like my husband does.

Also Shell Plaza Barber Shop. Old time, Koken chairs, hot shaving cream on the neck and sideburns and the old time scalp massage.

There's nothing worse the. Getting a haircut (nothing fancy) where the barbers do not speak English ! I've just moved here from New York State and can't find a real barbershop, Someplace to got for a cut and some good conversation, all my life the barbershop was the go to place to find out where the fish were biting or the best deals in the area were. I've had a couple of haircuts since I've been here but sorry folks I don't speak Vietnamese. Tell me there are some native Texans around the 77433 zip area that are cutting still! No chains please.

Maybe try the West Memorial Barber Shop.... it's on Memorial between Dairy Ashford and North Eldridge. Old school, cash only joint and you can also get a good shoe shine while you get your hair cut. It's still $20, but they have done well on my hair.......
