Default Kingwood, Woodlands, or Conroe?

Hi! I was just wondering which one of these would be the most peacefullest and less "snobbish" places to live and raise kids. So far, i think Kingwood would be the best, since my aunt lives there and I visited many times, but I fear that there might be racism (I am of Hispanic decent from my grandparents) from the "richest parts" of town, and my husband is Hispanic as well.

What are your suggestions?

Conroe would be the least, but I wouldn't worry about Kingwood (The Woodlands - maybe). This is Texas and hispanics are everywhere. White folks are pretty much used to them, nowadays.

Default my vote is for Kingwood

I have a Greek/Puerto Rican friend who moved to Kingwood from NYC many years ago. Her neighborhood is really beautiful, very wooded. Her son loves his school and has had no issues that I've heard of. I'd nix Conroe from my list simply because it's Conroe. You're getting close to iffy territory there, IMO. I read somewhere recently that in contrast to California, a large percentage of Latinos in Texas are mainly descendants of people who have been here for generations, contrary to popular belief. I don't remember where I read that though, but it makes sense. Not that nothing ever happens, Houston has issues, for sure, but generally speaking, racial tension isn't one of them.

Well i live between Conroe and the Woodlands, and there are many hispanics in the area. I say if you want to raise Kids , the woodlands would be better because the Woodlands have much better schools than conroe.

ian323 - just curious what your beef is with Forest Cove? I've never been there, but I know someone who lives there. She is far from "Trailerpark".

Then again...maybe I'm trailerpark and I just don't know it. hmmm.

The average household Kingwood is close to $110,000. Most of my neighbors are energy execs and attorneys. Trailer Park?
