Wow, I must have been under a rock the last four years to not have heard about this thing. I hope that the city and Metro follows through with this project, because for the time being, our rail system is a freaking joke. DANNYY, could you please post a link to that Chronicle story? Thanks.

I love that concept! Smart design and I love how it incorporates the surrounding landscape, framing the downtown highrises. If we can get this done, so many other developments will follow and I think Houston will be alot closer to a world class city in the eyes of tourists. Houston needs better infrastructures before it can attract certain types of developments, which in turn will make it more appealing to tourists. We are in a deficit, but as you all probably know, there are a lot of wasted money too. City should prioritize and be smarter about their spendings.

When was this Intermodal Station originally supposed to be developed/constructed and be in operation? I remember reading in one of the earlier posts in this thread stating it was behind schedule. This would be excellent for this city. It would actually give us more realistic public transportation than what we currently have.

Eh. I can do w/o these many steps though.

That's ridiculous. I mean I'm not nearly fat and in very good shape. But wow. Not trying to go up and down them stairs like that.

HtownLove, is this, the Intermodal Station, supposed to be built just north of U of H Downtown near North Main or Lyons?
