I'll stick with Five Guys in Houston and In-n-Out in Vegas/Cali.

Oh finally ate at Whataburger. Decent enough, but still will choose Five Guys.

He needs to learn a little more about his company. Steak and Shake originated in Illinois about 40-50 miles north of where I was born and raised in Bloomington/Normal Illinois. We had them everywhere there as long as I could remember. The resturaunts around Central Illinois where I grew up were so much better than any I have ever had away from the area.

The only burger I ever had that was better than a Central Illinois Steak and Shake was from a small chain in and around Decatur Il. called Krekle's. They are like a Smash Burger but 100% better and a Smash Burger is pretty darn good.

Steak 'n Shake

I think Smashburger is better than Five Guys. Maybe not better than Becks. Everyone has individual tastes - that's like asking for the best chili or barbeque - everyone's version of "best" differs.
