I posted about this before, but it got deleted.

Is it like New Jersey? Named after it? I heard about this robbery and murder at the Fair Lanes Windfern bowling alley in 1973 or something. But it sounds like an isolated incident. The killer was rumored to be mentally ill, but drugs were involved. If the area was bad then, I would think it was worse now. Does Fair Lanes even still exist?

One murder in 1973 and you consider the area "bad"? You must consider New York City the worst place on the planet. Now I understand why your original post was deleted.

I don't think it has anything to do with New Jersey. I am not sure if the bowling alley is still there - but the area is fine - just make sure it's not in a flood zone in that area.

Is there a reason you are focused on that area?

Jersey Village is so named because a dairy formerly situated there raised Jersey cows. I live off of Windfern and consider this area as safe as any.
