I use to commute to Downtown from Katy during the I-10 Construction.. back when the HOV went one way during certain time... I took the Metro Park n Ride.

Schools are good (at least compared to Houston, but that's to be expected from a suburb). Crime is low.

Houses in subdivisions look the same and thus are cheap compared to many other parts of the country. It is a suburb in the biggest sense of the word and doesn't offer much in terms of entertainment.
