Howdy, we're new in town and never been to an NFL game. We'd like to go to a Texans game.

I went to the NFL website and found a link to Ticketmaster where you can either buy tickets from the box office or from (season?) ticket owners. The latter seems to be the cheapest but it's still $200+ a ticket for the sections closest to the field. Is there a better/cheaper place to get tickets?

How does the row numbering work, would AA be the closest? How far back is A?

Maybe I'll get to go this weekend!

Someone told me parking is a nightmare and I'm better off going downtown and taking a train from there.

Thanks for any info or advice.

Look in here, it's easy to follow and, no, AA isn't in front, it's after Z.

Whew, thanks. I've been to places where AA and BB were in front of A!

The Texans are sold out for the year. You will have to get tickets from a broker or a current ticket holder.

I have had luck on craigslist and talking with ticket holders...NOT brokers. Also, parking isn't that bad. If you dont' get a parking pass, I park at, I think...The Holdiay Inn off of 90 then just cut through the reliant parking lot. Just get there a bit early.

im assuming you havent been to any, or many pro football games ever. Pretty much anywhere you go the tickets are going to be a couple hundred dollars for the sections closest to the field.
heck, even a basketball game will set you back a couple hundred dollars for seats right close to the court.

my buddy took me to a cowboys game last week. 150 dollars a ticket for PRESEASON tickets, and that was face value. that was middle level, not down low, but not in the nosebleeds either. 80 dollars to park your car in a lot across from the stadium (even a mile down the road places were still charging 30 bucks for parking). 8.50 a bottle of water.

i paid 245 a ticket last year for decent texans tickets late in the season. definitely werent 1st row 50 yard line though.

pro football is not cheap.

if you check stubhub a lot you might be able to snag some cheap tickets, as some people throw them up cheap. they dont last long. Ive found personally, one of the best ways is to just show up at the game. Ive got lots of pro tickets for 10 or 20% the price i would have paid elsewhere by showing up and finding some dude whos buddy couldnt make it and has an extra ticket hed like to get at least SOMETHING back on.
the drawback of that, is you have to be prepared not to find anything and not to be able to get in at all.

Remember, Reliant is a pretty new stadium and designed well. Even the higher up seats have great views of the field. I would rather go higher, but stay close to the 50.

I went once to a Texans game and won't go back. But it's not a Reliant or Texans issue. I would rather spend a few hundred bucks on something else.

With technology the way it is you can get better seats at your house and beer is only $1 each.
