What do you consider to be the best elementary schools in Katy ISD? On the flip side, what schools would you avoid?
Relocating and looking at options. Also looking into the Harmony Schools so would welcome input on those as well.
I do realize this is very subjective and am fortunate that our d is adaptable and has no current learning issues. hope to keep it that way
thanks!

You can go to greatschools.org to search for Katy and they have one to five star ratings. Some parents even write reviews. People moving in usually hear about Cinco Ranch schools. It is a master planned community and is a great investment to buy there. The schools are rated really good. I happen to live here, so I can vouch that it's a great community.

My daughter goes to Harmony Science Academy and was lucky to get in through the lottery because it was brand new in our area, and I heard the waiting list is anywhere from 9,000 to 14,000 kids. It's hard to get a real answer on what the waiting list is. My daughter is a 4.0, national honor society student there. She went to Katy ISD prior to that. I like the improvements she made since switching over.

Send me a PM and I can give you more details. I work closely with KATYISD schools. Harmony is great..but unfortunately getting in is the hardest part.

We had a good experience with Aristoi Classical Academy (in old town Katy) if you are interested in charter schools. It goes through 8th and may one day go through 12th.

I have to say I am quite shocked.

Every time I have to work with a Harmony school (I am an educational consultant) I am absolutely dumbfounded by their incompetence.

With that said, I haven't dealt with Katy's Harmony school as of yet.
