Well I pulled up the GIS on the MCAD site but there is a discrepancy there. You have a 16AC lot owned by KB Homes then the 3.43 acres owned by Legends Storage and below that is a very large parcel that does not appear to have a parcel number attached to it. I assume this is the lot you are referring to? You can see the are by going to MCAD and searching for parcel R361084 which is the Legends Storage then click the GIS button to see surrounding map.

Ah HA! You've undoubtedly uncovered a deep, sinister conspiracy. They government is purposefully hiding the true owners of the property so we won't discover that someone really plans to put 27 cell phone towers on that property.

It may mean it is owned by the government. In many counties they do not bother to assign a number to govt. owned parcels since they are exempt from property tax.

chris_ut awesome information. That is exactly the parcel of land that I am referring about. That parcel is huge. The recently did some pipeline maintenance/update work on the northwestern boundry of the property. We have heard rumors for about three years that an H.E.B. was slated for that property. You could a great store and a whole lot more on that corner. I know alot of development is hinging on the eventual construction of the Grand Parkway which is already 2 years behind schedule according to their time table on their website.

I still have not found any information on this property we discussed in this thread but they are letting bids for the widening of that section of Rayford Road to Riley Fuzzel Road to 4 lanes. The property is adjacent to that stretch of Rayford Road. I was just wandering if chris_ut or anybody had any further information on the property and what is going to be developed on that sight. Sorry to resurrect old thread. I wish there was a smiley face with a defibrillator showing me resuscitating thread. Anyway, just seeing if there was any new info on the property. Thanks to all in advance.

I have heard rumors over the past couple of years of an H.E.B. I e-mailed H.E.B. and got a generic and lackluster response. That land is more than large enough to support a Walmart Supercenter or H.E.B. Hope yall can help find out information the property and its plans for the development. Also, the former Rayford Road Community Center has been razed and new construction has begun on the site. I heard it was a Wendy's restaraunt from a manager at the Kroger next door but he said he wasn not exactly sure of what is being built at the location. Thank you to all those who reply in advance. P.S., I hope they build a Whataburger alot closer to this area ( meaning the back of the Rayford Road area/Legends Ranch Legends Run/Riley Fuzzel Road area).

This is what the clearing is for: Southeast Montgomery County targeted as next major growth area - Community Impact Newspaper. Quite an informative read.
