Default apartment in the woodlands, spring, or houston?

Hello all,

I've recently accepted a job offer in the woodlands (77380); I am now looking for an apartment in the range of $600~$700. I've found an apartment property located on the NW corner of I45 and 1960. Does anyone know about this location?! especially the safety issue?

Thanks in advance!

Not so terrific. How about The Woodlands itself? There are 17 in the Woodlands that have that price range - not sure of availability - but at least they will be close to work and in a safer area. That intersection you mentioned is very close to Gunspoint Mall.

FM 1960 around I-45 is a rough area... stay away from anything south of Cypresswood. There are a few complexes between Kuykendahl & 149 on Cypresswood worth a look. Best wishes...

The Cypress Station area is not desirable. Ella Blvd by Airtex is not good either. I would get one in the Woodlands proper.

my wife hunted throughout that area, and while some of the apartments are really nice, she ultimately ended up getting an apartment in The Woodlands proper. We are paying some more money for it, but the security and ammenities are worth it. So far she loves it there, even with her hour long commute downtown.

Thank you all so much for replying!!! I've found an apartment property in The Woodlands. It's a little bit over my original budget, but I think the security and peace of mind will worth it!!! =D
