If you (the OP, not Ronnie) are a US citizen and he is a Mexican citizen, andhe is trying to emigrate to the US (get a green card etc) then he may face some difficulties - the INS frowns on folks who get married, apply for a green card on the basis of the US citizen-spouse, then get divorced soon after.
