Driving 20 minutes isn't bad for a place like Houston. I know almost everybody on here and who lives in the metro would love that commute to work or elsewhere. So ungrateful!

What exactly makes you think a lot of people in this Houston forum is going to sympathize with you? I'm not from Texas, and I don't necessarily like everything about the city...but going on a forum to spell it out is not exactly going to make any friends. A 20 minute commute is the envy of a lot of people...suck it up! You're going to see people driving big SUVs...talk you your congressperson to address fuel efficiency and mass transit in the city (I bet you haven't done any of this, have you?, then don't complaint - you're part of the problem). When you move, you will miss it. Looks like a place like Portland, OR may be more suitable for you so you can "keep it real".
