Love the memorial pics, makes me think about the sacrifices people have to make in the name of 'freedom' and Govt- whether it's wrong or right I feel so sorry yet proud for those individuals and their families.

Am I the only one who actually sometimes likes the view in Texas City? Yeah, sure...all those smokestacks at the refinery are just spreading cancer and illness to the citizens...but I had a friend who once had an apartment right in front of the refineries, and the view out he window, if nothing else, was very unique and very visually interesting.

but....I would never move to Texas City. however, it is still interesting to see these cities which are of vital importance to our lives but are so..neglected. Definitely a unique piece of our culture and heritage.
