I would say "ENRON IMPLOSION" much more so than Enron Building

I would say "TEXAS MEDICAL CENTER" which would include M. A. Anderson. That would include the heart transplants under Cooley and Debakey.

I will agree with "ENERGY CAPITAL" if that is taken to include all that goes along with that (not the nickname as such).

I would add NASA/Apollo/Moon launch/Space shuttle/etc. as a biggie.

If you take the Katrina/Rita month that was huge also. Ike seems big now, but Katrina/Rita was so emotionally draining for everyone...resettling folks, a few weeks later massive evacuations for Rita...people dying while evacuating, etc., etc.

What really changed Houston forever was the 1970s Real Oil Boom and of course Gilleys..people came from all over the World to enjoy both..millions stayed.

These had nothing to do with "Changing Houston".

Just to pick one, how on earth does the closing of Six Flags have ANY affect on Houston?
