Default Shopping advice please

I have a loved one who is moving to Spring/The Woodlands area. They are looking to purchase a decent but inexpensive twin bed as well as a treadmill (preferably under $400). Besides the big stores like WalMart and Sears, are there any local stores they should be looking at for good deals for mattresses and treadmills? Stores that offer decent service and delivery?
