They have as big of a shot as the Texans do, buddy. LOL, Ninerfan continues to bring the funny to this thread.

Niner fans are everywhere. Biggest base! When they played in London, almost 84,000 Niner fans were cheering.

LOL, Ninerfan continues with the lies. Even though most hate them, we all know the Cowboys have the largest NFL fanbase, followed closely by the Steelers.

Bill Cowher says he’s ready to consider “opportunities”

Personally I think Cowher is a bit overrated, but could he land in Houston? let the talk begin.

You too? I thought I was the only one.

To be fair, I think he is a great coach. What he is not is a great evaluator of talent and potential, which held him back for years at Pittsburgh until the Roethlisberger/Hines Ward etc. era. In fact, Big Ben doesn't play in Pittsburgh if the Steelers don't get a high pick in 2004 for falling to 6-10 after Cowher decided, finally, after five-plus seasons of the failed Kordell Stewart experiment, to start over and rebuild. And keeping Kordell around all that time was Cowher's call.

If he comes back, realize that A) he's going to want control over personnel and B) he will want a lot of money.

He's a guy who can get an average team to the playoffs - he did it in the Kordell Stewart years. But it took a lot of time to build that average team to the greatness necessary to win a championship. Basically, the Cowher-era Steelers were the "Luv Ya Blue" Oilers of the day up until he finally got his ring.

The Texans landing Cowher could never be called a bad move, but just being realistic if anyone has an idea that he's going to come out bringing Lombardi trophies to Houston right away.

Well, didn't he draft those guys? Don't know how you can call him a bad talent evaluator when the Steelers have built through the draft with him. Cowher's record speaks for itself. People can try to discredit it, but the numbers don't lie.

Seriously, if you don't want Cowher as the HC, then your standards are too high:

The genious in Pittsburgh is Dick Lebeau. I do think Cowher is an upgrade over Kubiak, however the consistency in Pittsburgh belongs to the defense.

Whatever, saying Cowher is overrated is stupid.

He does have a SuperBowl ring. Cowher is leagues better than Kubiak.
