I need to take 59 north of Houston on Friday afternoon. I am in Sugar Land. If I am leaving between 3-3:30, would it be better to take Sam 8 around the west of Houston or just take 59 all the way through? I never drive during rush hour so I have no idea how bad it is or when it starts.

Thats about the start of rush hour. 59 will get congested coming into the city but you should make it in 30 minutes. I-10 to BW8 on 59 should be another 20-30.
