Default 'Chase' is getting embarassing

So, last night's show was filmed in downtown Dallas but 'set' in Houston. They referred to Houston downtown streets as they were chasing a convict, then they would pan out and you could clearly see the Dallas skyline.

They need to either set the show in Dallas or film it in Houston. I understand setting it in another place but showing obvious Dallas landmarks is embarrassing for all involved.

The average American couldn't tell the difference, but then again, they probably couldn't tell the difference between Philadelphia and Boston.

I almost fell over when I saw the DART train, and noticed they changed the sign on the front to HART. Still nowhere near the same as the Metro rail.

Agreed that they should film in Houston, or change the story line to be Dallas.

That wouldn't be a terrible name if they were to replace METRO with an at least somewhat capable transit agency and actually get a rail system built.

Doubt Houston area would get a train system anytime soon. I think the rails for now will be localized and not venture out into the burbs like Dallas, Atlanta, the Bay etc. No HART, BART, DART, MARTA, but maybe a HRT

As a Dallasite, I agree. Film it in Houston and set in Houston -- or just set it in Dallas. Also, why was a FEDERAL Marshall going to the COUNTY courthouse anyway?

It won't matter much, the show is being canceled.

Hollywood shows are always nonsense its just that usually you don't know enough about the subject matter to realize how much they get wrong.

Maybe it was filmed for an "international audience"? Then they would not tell the difference if it is a US or Canada. )

I agree. It's strange that they emphasize it being in Houston so often, but didn't shoot it there.

I couldn't imagine it being a lot easier to film something in Dallas versus Houston.

This happens all the time. I watch shows that are supposedly set on the east coast and all too often you see palm tree-lined streets.

There was a show several years ago called Silk Stalkings that was set in West Palm Beach but everything was obviously shot in San Diego.

USA network also has the show Psych - supposed to be set in Santa Barbara but there is nothing about the setting that looks remotely like Santa Barbara except when they do aerial shots. It's filmed in a Vancouver, BC beach town (White Rock). People who've never been to Santa Barbara would think it's covered in PNW pine trees.
