We're trying to get to Houston too, but for me it would be RI-TX-MT-TN-WV then Houston. The TX area before was El Paso. Hope we can finally settle somewhere that has a good industry for work. Most places I've been had no industry and were mostly service related jobs areas instead of manufacturing etc..

Caracas, Venezuela - Houston - Florida (Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Miami) - Katy

In between I visited about 50 something countries and almost 40 states

The combination of a high paying job with low cost of living brought me back and will probably keep me here for a while... I love this place, but I wouldn't want to retire here...

Born and raised in Detroit, USAF (Germany, Viet Nam, Guam, NH), Amsterdam (The Netherlands), Salt Lake City, Denver, Phoenix, LA, Dallas, Houston. If you would have told me I'd end up living in Texas for over 30 years, I'd have told you you were nutso.

I know it's rare, but I'm one of the few born and raised in Houston and still here!

[quote=DANNYY;17015454]This should be an interesting thread.

How did you get to Houston, from where? Describe the places you lived in phases to get to Houston.

Here is mine:
Chicago --> Singapore --> India --> Chicago --> Houston (Finally)

I like big cities:

New York---> Los Angeles ---> Chicago --- > Miami --- > Houston.

Retirement will probably the Florida Keys. Still a long ways off for that...until then...work, work, work!
