Yes, West Gray Ave. in Houston is great for shopping. Good description in that article.

It's good to hear Houston is (was) not only the No. 1 fattest city. LOL

It however smells like a product placement. Who would have mention "310 Rosemont" and "Lot 8" unless he/she is paid for it? They are not best stores in town to say the least.

I am happy for Houston. However I don't think it is the best shopping for everything.

- Trendy high-end apparel? Eh.. LA, Las Vegas and NYC have MUCH better product line.
- Discount stores? Definitely yes. Just like in Dallas (aka discounters major storage terminal and a homeland of Neiman Marcus), we have much less desperate foreigners hunting every blouse (think NYC). Hence good stuff stays in stores longer = we have more to choose from.
- art pieces, rugs, etc. - No. Most locals have tacky Midwestern taste and do not really appreciate contemporary art forms.
- other stores are pretty much the same.
