(I already posted this in the "House" forum. Someone kindly suggested I re-post in the "Texas" forum, but I think the "Houston" forum would be better, as this is Houston-specific.)

I'm looking for an ethical realtor in Katy, Texas (or nearby: South Katy is were I'm looking for a house). I currently live not far from Katy: I've been through several realtors, and found them all unsatisfactory, because they all seem to want to get the sales price up as much as possible, even though they're supposedly working for the BUYER. The current system of real estate, at least in Texas, incentivizes both buyer's and seller's agents to get the sales price as high as possible, to maximize their respective commissions. This is great for the seller, but lousy for the buyer.

Can anyone recommend any ethical realtors who are near, or show houses in, south Katy? I just hope someone can give me a recommendation for a specific realtor. I think the moderator would probably not allow this through the newsgroup, but perhaps someone could E-mail me privately (could someone please tell me how I could set up my profile for this)?

I consider myself ethical. I know other ethical ones - and also some unethical ones. You are painting everyone with the same brush, whether you know them or not.

I'm kidding you cheryjohns, it's like saying 'an honest lawyer' or a 'fair cop'.

Having read your posts I'm quite happy to accept that you work within a framework you regard as ethical.
