I know the Dickinson Trail of Lights is supposed to be good. Are there any neighborhoods around Clear Lake/Friendswood with great lights? I'm thinking of taking the kids for a drive tonight.

Thanks in advance.

The neighborhood behind the Randalls has an entire cul-de sac and other houses nearby completely decorated and lit up to the max. Best to park across the street and walk over so you can see the impressive level of detail they all put into it.

Don't expect a commercialized, professional display in Dickinson. It is a grass roots community event, and it isn't going to look like anything produced by Kemah Boardwalk or Moody Gardens. That being said, it is a long walk through it, and a LOT of fun if you like small town family friendly events. We go every year.

No, Clear Lake City Blvd @ Space Center Blvd. Horsepen Bayou runs behind the store (greenbelt) and the street with the displays is immediately backed up to the bayou. You'll see a few rope lights running up the trees as a hint. While you're there you can look in million-$ Bay Oaks, some of those homes get lit up to the max. I personally haven't looked there this year though.
