I guess some people just don't have a problem killing animals. I will never understand that mindset.
Two weeks? Where did you get that timeframe? I don't recall ever saying how long it lasted.

Your entire post is another ignorant statement that doesn't make any sense. I am not of that mindset at all, and you know it.

How would something else besides a cat get into a securely 6-foot fenced yard? It would have had to dig under, and there was absolutely no evidence of that anywhere in the yard at all.

It's pretty easy to put two and two together.

You also do not have a clue as to the breed rescue I have done for several years. Try picking up and transporting 7 dogs that are nothing but skin and bones. I've given a home to a few in my time.

I even ended up with one whose stupid owner put a squirming kitten down in front of the dog....and then got angry with the dog because it killed it.

The stupidity is just appalling.

So many cats are allowed to run loose everywhere. Why do you think that there is such a problem with them? IRRESPONSIBLE people.

The last is not going to change. Period.

<shrug> That's why some people are vegetarians. To each their own.

Are you a vegetarian? Do you live on a planet where nothing eats nothing else? Are you a rich, silly American that can afford to live in your unreality?

Actually I don't have a problem with empathy and compassion. It just used to disgust me to madness to watch Americans walk by people begging in the street in, say, the Philippines, only to freak out if they saw a stray dog.

That behavior is depraved.

That's why the pound exists. To deal with stray animals. So you don't end up with packs of feral dogs and wild cats that eat all the birds.

Grow up. Only stupid Westerners think like this. The lion is not going to lie with the lamb on this bloody planet.

Are YOU a vegetarian? Are you always so self righteous? LOL Spoken exactly like someone who has never done anything, never been anywhere and has never been hungry. You do realize, don't you, that animals that are large enough have no issues killing and eating you?

I used to work for Uncle Sam and had to go through a survival training course. There was a women I remember spouting all the same drivel you are. I also remember her after two days of not eating trying to sneak up on a squirrel and beat it to death with a stick. The squirrel saw her coming a mile away and escaped easily while she screamed at it and beat the tree.

That was worth the cost of admission.

"wild cats that eat all the birds" .... it's what they do ... it is nature. If that bothers people, then they need to also be very disturbed by all the animals that kill other species in open, rural areas here and all the species that run free in Africa.

There is a difference in killing animals for food or to survive. Obviously, humans are omnivores and most of us eat meat. However, you don't needlessly kill something because it inconvenienced you. The latter shows a complete disregard for life which is frankly pretty disturbing. That's how most serial killers get their start, by killing animals.

Also, someone mentioned nature. Animals don't kill other animals unless it is NECESSARY for their own survival. A tiger would never kill a monkey because its grass was getting mussed up. There is a difference between survival and Cruella de Ville making her dalmatian fur coat.

Default Who is this cat?

Maybe it is in all the previous posts, but I've yet to see where anyone has asked where this cat lives. is the cat one of your neighbors? Maybe he's just a stray cat, with no home?

I would not go as far as killing the cat, that would be illegal, but I'd first try to talk to the cat, see if the cat has any emotional problems at home... you know, try to put yourself in the cat's position. Offer the cat a cigarette, or a drink to calm down.

It could be this cat may be out of work and can't find any. Or, maybe the the cat used to be a hipcat, and not so cool with the ladies anymore.

Once you make a breakthrough, I'd ask the cat why he's shyting in your yard, tell the cat is uncool, and could get arrestd for it. Not only is it nasty, maybe the cat has parasites, or whatever, then your kids may walk on the lawn and catch these things.

If this cat does not listen to you, then I'd say it is all right to kick his a s s, and make sure he does not come around your house anymore. It is almost Christmas, so I'd tell the cat to go to the shelters, it is warm, and the cat will be fed well.

Merry Christmas

Actually, felines kill for fun. A gecko is not safe in my house, if they are foolish enough to sneak in - and that cat is not hungry. Nor will she eat after she has killed it.
