Any suggestions of non-harmful way to keep a neighbor's cat from pooping on my lawn? (West: transporting, house)

Exactly. Don't try to justify it. You know what you did was wrong. An animal inconvenienced you, so you killed it. There's no sugar coating it.

Um. If something tore up ground cover, it may not have been a cat. Coulda caught the neighbors cat in the trap but didn't catch the armadillo, opossum, or raccoon that was doing the actual damage.

Wow.........I didn't think of that...........you could be right..........and the poor cat paid the price.

And I would like to add................if it is a oppossum or raccoon.........you can hire a professional to humanely trap it and release it in a game preserve or something.....you don't have to kill it.

Amazing how cat owners think that it's perfectly OK that their cat uses the whole neighborhood for its bathroom. It is nothing short of irresponsible and inconsiderate.

As far as other animals go, anything else would have had to dig under the fence to get in.

And for the record, I had no more cat damage after that little incident.

Killed animals are yummy. But I prefer to coat them with breading rather than sugar. To each their own.

Thanks samarai. I'm getting one of these. I would never in a million years allow my dog to roam the neighborhood, yet some of my neighbors think my back yard is a cat box.

I'm not a cat owner as I stated earlier. They give me allergies. I'm glad you didn't have any additional damage, but you don't know that it wasn't something else as someone else posted. The two week window that went by before you decided to kill the cat is hardly proof.

I guess some people just don't have a problem killing animals. I will never understand that mindset.
