My family will be relocating to Houston this summer. I am a working mom, and I have been researching the options for before and after school care in the Katy Independant School District for my Kindergartener and my 3rd grader. I have found out that the YMCA offers before and after care through some of the elementary schools. However, I am unable to find any other info. Is that my only option for before and after care? Please advise.

Most of the surrounding day centers offer before and afterschool care at elementary schools. They will pick up from the school and drop them off in the morning. You can also use them when the school is closed for inservice days, etc. You just have to check to see if the childcare center you choose makes a run to your particular elementary school.

Default Kids R Kids

We've been pleased with Kids R Kids - they are open 6:30am-6:30pm and have their own bus that takes the kids to and from the elementary schools. Very easy and my kids love it there.
