Just needed a little help on where to purchase our first house to start our family. I work in Deer Park and the wife works off jones and 290. Her family lives off dairy ashford and west airport where the baby will be going when the wife goes back to work. So we want to be close to them. Any one have any suggestions on where to look. We are trying to stay under 175k but we don't want to live in a bad area.

Believe it or not, I could only come up with upper Sugar Land. It's better to drop the baby off at Dairy Ashford and keep traveling north to 290/Jones - than to drop south to drop the baby off and then go back up north to work. It's not going to be a picnic for anyone - those three locations constitute a triangle across a huge expanse of area.

Look at Stafford / Missouri City area around 90 and south of the beltway. It will be a 4 mile hike to W Airport / Dairy Ashford and then continue northwards for your wife and a straight run up the BW8 for you.
Alternately, why dont you look in the neighborhoods around Dairy Ashford & W. Airport - atleast there will be no stress about picking up / dropping the baby.

Cheers
